Rice Packagers

Core requirements for licensed rice packagers

  • Sign a Fair Trade Rice License/Certification agreement, in order to become licensed to display TransFair USA's Fair Trade Certified label on your Fair Trade products or materials
  • Purchase Fair Trade Certified rice from importers licensed by TransFair USA. For a list of licensed rice importers, click here >
  • Get approval from TransFair for all rice packaging carrying the Fair Trade Certified logo. For a package to carry the logo, the rice must be 100% Fair Trade Certified.
  • Submit brief quarterly reports to TransFair of Fair Trade Certified rice purchases and sales
  • Mail in copies of invoices sent to you by your importer for all purchases of Fair Trade Certified rice
